Bar grate treads are available in steel, aluminum or stainless steel and can be incorporated in all fully assembled, standard and heavy kit model spiral stairs. While most commonly specified and used for industrial projects, bar grate steps can work great for areas with lots of snow and ice, such as ski resorts. Although not as common, bar great treads can be used residentially, however it can become uncomfortable for someone in high heels or bare feet.
